I have never been to this café but would love to spend a morning there writing postcards and reading newspapers. I came across this beautiful black and white photo when we were ambling around a flea market and antiques fair in Rolle, about 20 miles along Lake Geneva.
We began speaking to one of the stall-holders, a Portuguese lady called Rosa da Silva Lopes, as Luiz is Brazilian and lusophones always find each other. She showed us a series of postcards of her photos, and I will write about the others we chose elsewhere. But this one struck me as being a perfect spot for a day of reading, writing, or talking about both.
