Ah yes, that’s how it looks when you have those dancing sparkles on the sea’s surface.  I like the extension to a ‘frost of beneficence’, like the frosting on a birthday cake.

‘The water lay glittering around the boat as though sugared, a frost of beneficence across its surface.’
