Not only did I like this simile for peace, it also seems apt to feature it following VE Day, which was meant to herald peace, particularly as today there is war again in Europe, and some strident parades taking place apparently celebrating not peace but invasion and devastation.
Peace. Sooner or later. Everywhere. Â
There was peace in heaven and on earth. It was like the heart of a man at morning prayer.Â
