It’s some time since I noted this simile for the effective spread of news.  Now, re-reading it as we watch the advance of the Covid-19, I realize it could stand as a metaphor for the effective spread of a virus.

Enjoy the simile and bee well, wherever you are.

‘News is often dispersed as thoughtlessly and effectively as pollen which the bees carry off (having no idea how powdery they are) when they are buzzing in search of their particular nectar.’
