How noble can you get?  Most aristos trace back to some humble origin until they got a knighthood or some such for pleasing their king and master.  But Orlando’s, no, they came out of the mists their coronets already in place.

‘His fathers had been noble since they had been at all.  They came out of the northern mists wearing coronets on their heads.’
