This irreverent definition of philosophy made me smile, though with the current invasion of Ukraine, ‘the finding of bad reasons’ has other resonances, such as cooked up, fact-mangling pretexts for starting wars which you don’t even have the honesty to call by their name.  

Philosophy, according to Bradley, is the finding of bad reasons for what we believe by instinct.
