A lovely description of a woman’s eyes but a woman who has a certain transparence to her, not a particularly strong or memorable individual, even if greatly beloved of one of the protagonists in this masterful Hungarian trilogy.

I don’t think I have ever seen ocean-grey eyes.

‘For an instant Klara’s ocean-grey eyes seemed to darken.’
