A sobering if orthographically challenging and barely pronounceable Old English word meaning ‘the contemplation of dust’.  Not a question of staring at evidence of your lackadaisical house-cleaning, but rather the contemplation of the remains of the past, and the concomitant awareness that all things must eventually turn to same.

I had my dustsceawung moment when it hit me that the world will end one day, with only some solace deriving from the fact that this is 5 billion or so years away.  Though at the rate the North Korean leader is currently lobbing missile-toys out of his pram, it may be five days or five weeks.
